The beautiful thing about being an author or writer is that we can always turn something into a beautiful story and you get to enjoy around it while learning. 😊

With Erick Shigongo

Let’s Do It This way!

It was Saturday, 28th 2020, where I was able to attend the speaker’s conference and it was absolutely amazing.

Apart from learning all that I need to learn from all great speakers, I also had this chance of meeting Eric Shigongo for the first time. (A dream come true :)

Just like many of us here, we do wish to see someone of our deepest desire, my side was to meet him as an author.

So, Why do I share It Here?

I remember it was just December 2018 when I realized that I can write, I couldn’t also ignore what my instinct was telling me, but I put thing into action and gratefully December 6, 2019 I succeeded releasing my first book — Inflammable Mindset, The Art of Critical Thinking.

I am also grateful I had a chance to sell the books to different individuals here in Tanzania regardless of the negative introjects that “Tanzanians don’t read” (Btw, I don’t believe this notion anymore — it doesn't work for me).

Dear reader, I understand we all have that thing that we want to do or be but also something from our deepest desires, however, another side, we don’t really put things into work — thinking, it’s too hard to do, I don’t have any connection, I don't have time, I don't have enough skills or sina mtaji wakuanza plus lots of excuses in between.

The hard truth is that many of us really want to do something but we put “a lot” off — procrastinating, blames, excuses and negativity. Its just like we want to see a certain result but we aren’t willing to pay a certain price in achieving what we have desired to have.

Sometimes it might be even reading just one book, talking to that person or attending that mindful training but we don’t want to do anything and lastly, we blame like hell.

The What If Part

  • What if we say we gonna do something and we do it where will we be tomorrow?
  • What if we work on ourselves continuously, leave those toxic relationship that doesn't serve us or support us, where will we be the next November 2021?
  • What if we only choose to read even a single page per day about positivity, productivity and mindfulness, where will we be in the next 2 years?
  • What if we try to remove all the negative introjects toward others, toward things and just do the work or be kind to others — what kind of person will we becoming?

You got all the answer!

New Belief Installation!

• If we say we gonna do something, guys, let’s do it.
• We shouldn’t put ourselves in a position that we know everything. We should always be a student and be open to learn.
• We should be willing to reach out people who are willing to help us. Sometimes the way we think about others isn’t true just like how we have made it in our minds.
• Let’s support each others for what they do & show up to the things that matter to us (not everything).
• Let’s read, read, read, read, and read all the right materials and information around us.
• Lastly, lets put things into work — we shouldn’t just talk, it won’t do us good. Btw, anyone can do that.

If you don’t DO YOU, you won’t be done!

— Michael Bernard Beckwith

What I know for for sure is that there’s always time for everything but things don’t just happen , they need to be created — nothing will be done until we do something guys. We should also stop blaming, or see kuna watu wanapendelewa or whatsoever.

And Lastly, Here Are My 5 Take Lessons from Erick Shigongo

  1. Know your identity (Know who you are and do something about it.)
  2. Find something to help others (You may either opt to be a self-centered person or opting the other side — a person who thinks about others or does things toward others.)
  3. Take care of your body, it will surely save you.
  4. Put God in your plans — make God your partner. Talk with him, think with him and work with him.
  5. Just know uoga wetu ndio kufeli kwetu, hakuna mchawi.

P.S:

• My deepest appreciation to Rodrick Nabe, for champion Sparkers Conference event for more than 3 years now where speakers can possibly meet.
• I have shared this article intentionally for learning, the use of we, us, let’s or anything that represent many — means I am part of you, the one that you are reading this now.
