What type of tree are you?

What kind of tree are you?

As silly as how it may sound, I constantly need to remind myself what kind of tree I am like every day.

Why such kind of question?

Well! I met this friend a few years ago — and purely admired him.

Surprisingly we also shared the same story, the same background, and all the stories behind the background.

Day after day we get to know each other and also learn from others about the kind of projects that he and I were doing at that time.

My story inspired him and termed me as a smart lady with a different mind he has never seen and my mind kinda reading the same in the background — with an additional to; someone who got it all.

Truly, he was blessed with all of what I used to call the life of my dream even driving my dream car — what a way to live.

Well. Was he inspirational to me?

Absolutely. Yes. He was.

I couldn’t imagine getting to know him was such a present in my life.

I was inspired — really inspired by his life of which I came to realize a year later that I was trying so hard to copy and live his life and it turned out bad.

Trust me, it invited stress, self-hate, depression, anxiety, and lots of those states of which it's hard to be understood in an absolute sense.

But how it started?

It started when I constantly focused too much on what he was doing rather than what I was doing— thinking he is making it well so I need to copy whatever he was doing to have the kind of life that he was having — the life of his own desires and forget about the life of my own desires, without knowing that I was neglecting and disvaluing myself every moment of doing that.

I never knew that we were different trees — an apple tree and an orange tree and that our lives were totally different and it wouldn’t matter how much I would copy, wish or even imitate what he was doing — I wouldn't bear oranges as I was coming from an apple tree.

That my season of bearing fruits is totally different from his season of bearing his fruits. That we were not planted at the same time, and we were not sharing the same story.

That the gardener who is taking care of us truly has a different story to tell us every day about our beliefs and why we were the kind of trees we were.

That we are never the same and that we do come with different intentions of bearing different fruits and we should always follow that intention.

That we have our time for sure, and when the time comes the fruits flourish on their own without stress, depression, or anxiety as desires of different intentions are fulfilled at a particular time.

In the end, we all just need to be the best trees ever we could ever be.

So what kind of a person are you?

Are there other people you like and whose success inspires you — you just wish to become them?

You should be inspired.

It’s a great idea.

Yet, don’t forget who you truly are.

You should never compare yourself with anyone else as your intentions are literally different from anyone next to you.

Once you get this that you are a different tree, with another intention and desires— fear, anxiety, stress, depression, self-hate, or jealousy will surely fade away. You will always cherish what you are doing and never compare yourself with others.

It’s my dominant intent to share with you that — you should never disvalue yourself and distance yourself from your own desires and think that you can’t accomplish them; if you understand that you are a different tree and accept your differences from other trees— all resistance will go away and you will surely flourish on your own and others will always enjoy your uniqueness.

Well! I am an apple tree.

What kind of tree are you?
